Today is an Optional Build Day, in which the team members can come (if they want to, of course) to the workshop to work on various tasks.I, the writer, currently have a cold so I will not be here for a majority of the five hour period, but I'm sure that a lot will get done.
I don't know if any goals "Come if you want to, and get some stuff done" were established, so I will not have any beginning goals posted. I will not be able to post what was ultimately accomplished, either.
During the hour or two I'm here: The robots seem much more complete than two days ago. In fact, one of the robots appear to be ready for testing!
On the other hand, the robot is apparently not ready for testing right now. A crowd formed around the robot, and they're currently tinkering with the batteries. And now it's 'ready' again. Is it though? I'll see soon.
According to one of the parent helpers, the robot "will be ready to drive in a minute." A bit too specific, but It'll probably be ready soon.
A certain teammate(I'm not going to be referring to teammates specifically in this blog, most of the time) is taking all of the wiffleballs and dropping them into one of the rolling goals. Doesn't seem productive to me, but I won't say he's off-task. Maybe that's what he's been told to do.
Actually, it appears that the teammate is not supposed to be moving all the wiffleballs. Some of my other teammates have expressed annoyance that he's doing whatever he's doing.
Right now, the robot is still not ready for testing. I've no clue why they placed the robot on the field if they're going to work on it for over half an hour..
